SUPPORT THE MUSEUM

Membership: Individual Giving / Corporate Giving / Planned Giving /
In-Kind Contributions/ Volunteers / Internships / Donation of Artifacts

Each year the Village seeks unrestricted or designated funds with their “Friends of Millard’s Crossing” annual campaign. These donations provide a significant percentage of annual operating income and support special projects which are critical to the success of the Village and its programs. Membership means that you are a part of an essential historic museum which actively teaches the history of East Texas and serves as a major attraction for heritage tourism. Friends’ membership levels include:

Sharecropper $25
Tenant Farmer $50
Land Owner $75
Rancher $100
Timber Baron $200 and over

Horse Trader - In Kind Donation
Riding lawn mower, office equipment, etc.

Planned Giving / Tribute Gifts

Ensure the Village’s future by providing for it in your estate plans. For example, a bequest provision in your will can provide funding for future generations. Charitable remainder trusts can be another option. Honor or commemorate family or friends with a gift. This gift will be acknowledged by a letter from the Village to the honoree or to the family.

“In-Kind” Contributions

The Village is happy to receive donations in the form of equipment such as building materials, landscaping equipment, office machines or free services and materials for roofing, painting and repairs. This is an option that many local businesses can provide without impacting their profit margin.

Volunteers

Volunteers have become an essential part of Village programs. Opportunities abound for those who like active participation. Volunteer activities include Educational Docenting, Hosting Events, Office Work, Curatorship, Exhibits, Sewing, Upholstering, Costume Making, Children’s Crafts, Carpentry, Mowing, Gardening, Landscaping, Decorating for Events, Publicity, etc.

Internships

Millard’s Crossing Historic Village works in cooperation with several local colleges by offering non-paying internships for college credits and resumé experience.

Donation of Artifacts

The Village welcomes the donation of artifacts, particularly those that are associated with local history. The tools of subsistence farming are particularly desired. Artifacts can also be designated as “on loan” and can be recalled at any time by the donor.

Checks can be made out to "Millard's Crossing"
